- Supposedly official renders of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra have leaked
- They show a couple of significant changes and a lot that’s stayed the same
- Leaked camera specs suggest not much will be changing there
A recent leak has shown us purportedly official renders of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra from a number of perspectives, so we may have just had our best look yet.
These renders, one of which is displayed below, were shared by Android Headlines and depict the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra in black. It differs from the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in two significant ways.
First, its corners are curvier here than on the current model, matching earlier leaked renders. The second is the camera arrangement. Although the four lenses are still located in the same areas on the back of the phone, three of them are now contained behind a camera block rather than protruding straight from the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Although the new phone may be a little thinner—according to this report, it is 7.9 mm thick, which is less than the 8.2 mm thick Galaxy S25 Ultra—the remainder of the design is comparable to that of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Keep in mind that the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera island is said to protrude 4.5mm, so that area of the phone may be fairly large.
These adjustments are probably for the best because, in any event, they shouldn’t significantly alter the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s appearance from the S25 Ultra, although those curved corners do look good, and they would set it apart from the previous phone.

Keeping the cameras
Maintaining camera specifications is not ideal, but it appears to be the case. According to ETNews (via GSMArena), the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will once again feature a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide, a 10MP 3x telephoto, a 50MP 5x telephoto, and a 12MP front-facing camera.
The website explicitly states that the 50MP telephoto lens is identical to the one from the previous year, while it’s possible that some of these cameras will differ from their predecessors even though they supposedly have the same number of megapixels.
According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro—the name given to the base S26 model—will not feature any camera enhancements either. It is claimed to contain a 50MP primary camera, a 10MP 3x telephoto, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 12MP selfie camera, all of which are identical to those found on the Samsung Galaxy S25.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge is the only model that appears to be receiving camera enhancements. It may contain a new 50MP ultra-wide module instead of the 12MP one that was used in its predecessor, but the main sensor is still supposedly 200MP and the front-facing camera is still 12MP.
However, given that some of these statements contradict previous studies, we would proceed with caution. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro, for instance, was said to contain a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
Given that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is anticipated to launch in early 2026, we should know which reports are accurate in a few months.
