- AOC’s Essential E4 series targets business users with a choice of feature-rich monitors
- The CU34E4CW model sports a curved 34-inch 120Hz panel, but no 5K option
- It does include dual USB-C, Smart KVM, Ethernet, and a 5MP webcam though
AOC has unveiled the Essential E4 series, a new line of business monitors designed for contemporary offices that prioritize long-term support, sustainability, and usability.
The line is designed for professionals that appreciate useful performance in a variety of scenarios, with screen sizes ranging from 24 to 34 inches and features from Full HD to 4K UHD.
The 34-inch CU34E4CW, a curved WQHD ultrawide panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a brightness of 350 nits, and support for 1.07 billion colors, is one of the most sophisticated of the new screens.
Where’s the 5K model?
This screen has a 5MP webcam that supports Windows Hello facial recognition, an RJ-45 connector, and two USB-C inputs with Smart KVM. Because of this, customers can use it to manage several devices or take part in video conferences.
The CU34E4CV is a comparable model that lacks the webcam but has the same display and connectivity.
Although the goal of the new monitor line is to provide something for everyone, individuals in high-resolution creative fields will be disappointed by the lack of a 5K panel.
Nevertheless, the DisplayPort-out feature of the U27E4CV 4K model makes daisy-chaining monitors simple and streamlines workplace arrangements.
The upgraded USB-C devices allow daisy chaining, video transmission, and 90W power delivery with just one cable.
Some variants, such as the CU34E4CW and CU34E4CV, have RJ-45 ports that enable network and internet connections to be sent straight to a connected laptop via the monitor’s USB-C port. With just a single USB-C cable, this configuration offers a reliable and secure wired connection that eliminates the need for an additional Ethernet adapter or dock.
The two ultrawide versions’ KVM switches will make it simple for users to swap between devices, which is useful for multi-computer operations.
Fully adjustable stands and eye-friendly features like Flicker-Free technology and TÜV-certified low blue light are standard.
Up to four USB-A ports are included in all models’ USB hubs, and some versions also have side-access ports for added convenience.
The E4 series is currently on sale. The 24E4U and other entry-level versions cost £119.00, while the 27E4U and Q27E4U cost £139.00 and £169.00, respectively. The 24E4CV and 27E4CV, two USB-C variants, will be available in August for £169.00 and £199.00, respectively.
In September, more expensive screens such as the Q27E4CV and CU34E4CV, which cost £219.00 and £289.00, respectively, will be released. Pricing for the remaining models, such as the CU34E4CW, will be revealed closer to the time of their autumn release.
