- New renders show the alleged colors coming to the iPhone 17 Pro range
- Information on the iPhone 17 colors has also leaked out
- The iPhone 17 Pro might also get an even stronger display
Typically, Apple doesn’t give us a preview of its next iPhones until its September launch event. With the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, however, that is all different. According to AppleInsider, a series of renders based on “common rumors and speculation” have been created.
A large portion of that conjecture stems from a report published earlier this week by Macworld, which said it had obtained a “internal document” that Apple used to describe the next colors, replete with Pantone color names.
AppleInsider is now using that information in their renders. Orange, Dark Blue, Gray, Black, and Silver are the five colors of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max that are depicted in the pictures.
That’s a significant change from the iPhone 16 Pro’s color palette. The Orange, Dark Blue, and Silver hues don’t go with any color already used in a Pro-tier iPhone, even if the Black and Gray tones are said to match the Black Titanium and Natural Titanium of the iPhone 16 Pro.

Renders for the iPhone 17 range’s non-Pro models, which will comprise the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air, were not made available by AppleInsider. We do, however, have some indications of what we might see at Macworld thanks to a recent leak.

The iPhone 17 will reportedly come in six different colors: Black, White, Steel Gray, Green, Purple, and Light Blue, according to a rumor from Macworld. The iPhone 16’s black and white tones will be same, but the other four will be brand-new.
According to leaker Majin Bu earlier in July, the iPhone 17 Air will be available in the following colors: Black, White, Light Blue, and Light Gold. Although it will have the same Black color as the iPhone 16, the White version will be slightly brighter than that model.
An even stronger display

There are more alluring iPhone 17 Pro leaks than simply the new hues. A source who spoke to MacRumors claims that the iPhone 17 Pro may receive an anti-reflective, scratch-resistant display that offers greater protection than Apple’s current Ceramic Shield protective glass.
The odd thing is that this technology was first rumored in March 2024, but it was later implied that Apple would put it on hold due to production problems. In the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, but not in the iPhone 17 or iPhone 17 Air, it appears to be returning.
We’ll be skeptical of this most recent rumor because of the feature’s history of back and forth. But when the iPhone 17 Pro is released later this year, it might be an alluring gadget if Apple can improve the display and make it available in a variety of fascinating new colors.
