- The iPhone 17 series could cost $50 more than the iPhone 16 line

Despite the fact that there haven’t been many pricing leaks yet, the majority of them, including the most recent one, indicate that the iPhone 17 series will likely cost more than earlier generations.
The iPhone 17 series will cost about $50 (about £40 or AU$75) more than the iPhone 16 series, according to leaker @Jukanlosreve.
Based on that scenario, the iPhone 17 would start at about $850 / £850 / AU$1,475, the iPhone 17 Pro would start at about $1,050 / £1,050 / AU$1,875, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max would start at about $1,250 / £1,250 / AU$2,225.
We’re also anticipating the iPhone 17 Air, which has been reported to cost approximately the same as the iPhone 16 Plus, or $899, £899, or AU$1,599, though if this most recent pricing leak is accurate, it might cost an additional $50, £40, or AU$75.
Either way, this $50 hike claim is consistent with a recent report from Edison Lee, a Jefferies analyst (via @DeItaone), who stated that all models would experience this rise, with the exception of the regular iPhone 17.
According to @Jukanlosreve, they arrived at this number by estimating the impact of tariffs, “the weak dollar effect,” and Apple’s own initiatives to lower component costs on the final pricing.
A full selection of shades
Although possible price increases are never pleasant, there is some good news: leaked images of possibly every iPhone 17 series color have surfaced.
The iPhone 17 in black, white, pink, blue, and green, the iPhone 17 Air in black, white, blue, and a light yellow, and the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max in black, white, blue, gray, and brown are all depicted in these images, which were shared by leaker Majin Bu.
There is still a lot of mystery on the precise colors that will be available, as these colors mainly correspond to what we observed in another recent iPhone 17 color leak. However, the green and gray tints were absent, and the color that seems brown above appeared more orange in that leak.
The iPhone 17 series is expected to appear in the first part of September, so in about a month we should know exactly what will be available.
