- More Galaxy S26 details have leaked
- A 6.27-inch display and 4,300 mAh battery are tipped
- The phone could launch in January
The Galaxy S26 phones are expected to ship in January 2026 if Samsung follows its regular timetable. Two of the series’ base model’s important specifications have just been leaked.
The popular tipster Digital Chat Station (via Wccftech) claims that the regular Galaxy S26 will come with a 4.300 mAh battery and a 6.27-inch display, both of which are upgrades over the current model.
The 6.2-inch screen and 4,000mAh battery of the Samsung Galaxy S25 are identical to those of the Galaxy S24 from the previous year. After a long wait, it’s good to see the least expensive model finally get some additional battery capacity.

Though there are other considerations besides battery size, it is difficult to predict how much of a difference a battery capacity increase will make to actual battery life. However, it cannot do any harm.
Samsung going Pro?
Another well-known leaker, Tarun Vats, added the Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro name to the story. Previous rumors have suggested that the regular Galaxy S26 phone will be given the Pro designation in the upcoming year.
When it comes to Samsung’s flagship phones for next year, we may be looking at the Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, as previous reports indicate that the Galaxy S25 Plus will be the last of that specific phone line.
Once more, the Ultra model is probably going to receive the most improvements on top of what the current phones already have. There have been rumors that the priciest phone in the line will get faster charging and a better camera.
Between now and January 2026, we’ll undoubtedly learn more about all three phones, but in the meantime, the Google Pixel 10 launch is this week, which might set the bar for the greatest Android phones once more.
