Monster season 4

Although the announcement has not yet been formally confirmed, Monster season 4 is on the horizon. Season 1 of the real crime anthology series has received one billion hours of viewing in its first 60 days, setting a new record for Netflix, one of the top streaming platforms. Only four television shows have accomplished this feat, including Monster.

Naturally, all attention is now on the third season, which is set to premiere on the streamer in October. Charlie Hunnam’s character Ed Gein’s story will be the main focus of Season 3. However, a lot more can be said about season 4. For example, how it will focus on Lizzie Borden, the first female character in the series, who has a very different story.

Here is what we currently know about the upcoming Monster installment, including the news, speculations, cast, and possible release date.

Monster season 4: is there a release date?

No, Monster season 4 has not yet been given a release date, but that is not shocking given that season 3 is still available for streaming on Netflix.

However, season 3 will be available in October, according to creator Ryan Murphy, as reported by What’s On Netflix?

Additionally, Variety revealed that Monster season 4 is “already in the works” and “currently prepping for a potential fall shoot,” even though Netflix hasn’t confirmed anything yet.

Given that seasons one and two were released in September and three are slated for release in October, I would estimate that season four won’t air until September or October 2026.

Since production hasn’t even started, there isn’t a Monster season 4 trailer available just yet. I would anticipate that we won’t see a trailer until late 2026, in accordance with the anticipated release date, as production is reportedly set to start in the fall.

Monster season 4: predicted cast

The cast of the anthology series is always new because each season focuses on a different true crime story. Therefore, it is nearly hard to forecast the Monster season 4 cast.

We do know that well-known actors have portrayed the main characters in every Monster season to date. Evan Peters played Jeffrey Dahmer in season 1. Cooper Koch and Nicholas Alexander Chavez portrayed the Menendez brothers in season 2.

Additionally, according to Tudum, Charlie Hunnam will play Ed Gein in season three, with Laurie Metcalf, Olivia Williams, and Tom Hollander serving as supporting cast members.

In Monster season 4, Lizzie Borden will be portrayed by a female lead. We’ll have to wait and see, though, who it is. As soon as I learn more about this season’s casting, I’ll be sure to post an update here.

Monster season 4: story synopsis and rumors

Full spoilers for Monster seasons 1 to 3 to follow.

Monster on Netflix tells actual crime stories, with a new case being followed in each season. It was Jeffrey Dahmer during season 1. Lyle and Erik Menendez for season two. Ed Gein for the forthcoming third season.

Additionally, it has already been disclosed that Lizzie Borden’s narrative will be told in Monster season 4. However, compared to the previous three seasons, her life and crimes are quite different. Lizzie Borden, the first female lead, was actually tried and found not guilty in 1892 of killing her father and stepmother with axes.

A cursory online search will undoubtedly provide you with all the information you require, including the storyline of Monster season 4, if you have never heard of Lizzie Borden. I won’t go into all the specifics here, though, so as not to spoil the entire season.

However, given how common a case it was for its period, it is not wholly surprising that Lizzie’s story has been repeated before. Christina Ricci portrayed the title character in the 2015 film The Lizzie Borden Chronicles. Or Lizzie with Chloë Sevigny (2018).

I think Monster season 4, which is a true crime recounting of the story, will be just as exciting and tense as the previous seasons.

Two factors make it difficult to predict upcoming Monster seasons: first, the release date for season 3 has not yet been announced, and second, although season 4 is rumored to be in the works, Netflix has not yet released an official statement.

In light of this, it doesn’t appear probable that we will hear about any upcoming Monster seasons anytime soon. There is always hope that Monster will continue for many more seasons to come, though, given its overwhelming success on the streaming service and the wealth of compelling true crime stories that are still to be told.
